Example

Suppose the basic salary of an employee is ₹20,000 and the current DA is 30%.

Calculation of DA:

DA=340−261.42/261.42×100=30.00%

DA amount:

DA amount=Basic pay×DA rate

 DA amount=₹20,000×0.30=₹6,000

Total Salary:

Total salary=Basic salary+DA amount

Salary=₹20,000+₹6,000=₹26,000

Information of July 2024

Considering the DA rate of 30% for July 2024, the DA of an employee will be as follows:

  • basic salary: ₹25,000

  • DA, Rate: 30%

  • DA amount: ₹25,000 × 0.30 = ₹7,500

  • total salary: ₹25,000 + ₹7,500 = ₹32,500
