How the formula works
Bricks = Area × (1 ÷ ((Brick Length + Mortar) × (Brick Height + Mortar)))
- Wall Area = Length × Height (in square meters)
- Brick Coverage = (Brick Length + Mortar) × (Brick Height + Mortar)
- Bricks Required = Wall Area ÷ Brick Coverage
- Waste Factor = Additional bricks for breakage (typically 5-10%)
- Total Bricks = Bricks Required × (1 + Waste Factor ÷ 100)
- Total Cost = Total Bricks × Cost per Brick
